Want to learn guitar or bass?
Private lessons available to students of all skill levels! Located in Solana Beach, CA and serving San Diego County.
My approach to teaching
My goal as a music teacher is to inspire students by teaching them music that excites them, but also to challenge them with techniques and exercises that will improve their technical and theoretical ability. I like to incorporate elements of music theory, songwriting, and improvisation as well, to allow students to further express themselves with their own music. I have experience teaching a wide variety of music genres, including rock, metal, blues, pop, r&b, funk, jazz, and more.
My main teaching studio is at The Rockademy in Solana Beach. I can also come in-person to the student’s house or provide online lessons. While lessons usually run on a weekly basis, I am glad to accommodate fluctuating schedules as much as my availability allows
As far as payment goes, I currently accept Venmo, cash, or checks. I charge $50 per 30 minute lesson. I am happy to do more than 30 minutes upon request.

More about the teacher
Hello! My name is Will Stover, and I love teaching music! I am a San Diego native with 20+ years of guitar-playing experience. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Music, and I have been a music teacher for the past 5+ years. Aside from standard one-on-one lessons, I have a ton of experience coaching student bands of all ages. I also record my own music and play guitar in the metal band Ayanami.
